Twitter Client Identified as Robert K. Caruthers of Poughkeepsie

News sources have finally disclosed the name of the person who hired a lawyer based on the lawyer’s posts on the micro-blogging service known as Twitter. Robert K. Caruthers, an accounts specialist in Poughkeepsie, New York, says he wasn’t really looking for attorney at the time but was just “messing around” when a tweet from a California attorney caught his eye.

“I dunno. It was a retweet about some issue the guy was having with his stapler, and it just resonated with me,” Caruthers explained to the Poughkeepsie Journal. “We got to DMing each other and then I asked if he would represent me in a conciliation court case I sort of have against a pet store that sold me the wrong chinchilla.”

Caruthers would not disclose, however, the identity of the attorney or whether the attorney was licensed to practice in New York. “It’s kinda private, really,” Caruthers said. “But, who knows, maybe I’ll tweet about it.”
