Lawyer Receives Prestigious Award for Tweeting Excellence

An Alabama lawyer has received one of the top legal awards for professional excellence because of extensive tweeting, a bar association trade magazine reported Wednesday.

Roger Cornbluth, who tweets under the handle “AlaAtty4u,” provides off-color legal commentary and live-tweeting of podcasts of dramatic readings of U.S. Supreme Court opinions. His live-tweeting of the Grammy Awards show earlier in the year was widely praised for its accuracy and wit.

“We felt Mr. Cornbluth really humanized lawyers, making us all more approachable,” said the awards committee in presenting Cornbluth with the Justia Award for Excellence.
