A college student who has been considering enrolling in law school after graduation in 2012 has taken the formal step of forming an exploratory committee to determine if law school really is for him. Shane Chambers, a junior at William & Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia, said he has wanted to go to law school since high school “and I’m taking the next step toward that goal, forming an exploratory committee.”
ABA Resolution Requires Law Schools to Tell Prospective Students How Much Law School Sucks
The resolution, known as Truth in Law School Education, will require law schools to send “conspicuous notices” to prospective students with “a realistic description of law school.” The notices will in part state that “for the vast majority of students, law school is a miserable suckhole for which you will pay us $150,000 and end up having no real prospect of a job.”
Pay Day Loans Nixes Plans to Open in Law Schools
Pay Day Loans, a chain of high-interest store-front “banks” that offer high-interest pay day loans and other financial services, has announced that it no longer plans to open stores in law schools by the end of the year.
