Attorneys this week filed a class action lawsuit on behalf of thousands of unused computer desktop icons, who claim that computer users ignored them to such a degree to constitute “callous disregard and neglect, causing mental anguish, suffering, and damages in excess of $75,000.”
The lawsuit, filed in federal court in Minneapolis, names millions of computer users worldwide who have allegedly taken no action when told that they have unused desktop icons on their systems. My HP Games and Yahoo! Music Jukebox, the two named plaintiffs, allege that “despite the plain, clear, and conspicuous notices given to them, defendants have deliberately, callously, and with malice aforethought ignored all pleas for appropriate and timely attention.”
